The belt conveyor is mainly composed of two end rollers and a closed conveyor belt tightly sleeved thereon. The roller that drives the conveyor belt to rotate is called the drive roller (transmission roller); the other roller that only changes the direction of movement of the conveyor belt is called the redirection roller. The drive roller is driven by an electric motor through a reducer, and the conveyor belt is dragged by the friction between the drive roller and the conveyor belt. The drive roller is generally installed at the discharge end to increase the traction force and facilitate dragging. The material is fed from the feeding end, falls on the rotating conveyor belt, and is driven by the friction of the conveyor belt to be transported to the discharge end for unloading.
1. Installation technical measures
① Installation, debugging, etc. should be carried out in accordance with the parameters and drawing requirements. Before installation, necessary inspections should be carried out, including anchor bolts, etc., and whether the position of each component is correct.
② The installation of the conveyor should first be leveled and aligned, and then carried out in the order of the specified requirements. Note that the base and anchor bolts should be tightened and should not be loose, otherwise problems will occur.
③ The installation of the reducer and motor should be appropriately adjusted based on the driving wheel to meet the size requirements of each part. Its bracket should coincide with the longitudinal center of the conveyor.
2. Safety measures for installing belt conveyors
① Before laying the belt, the site must be cleaned and the passage must be unobstructed.
② The rollers of the intermediate frame should be complete and the operation should be flexible.
③ The tools used for laying the belt must be complete.
④ Non-construction personnel cannot enter the construction site at will.
⑤ The operation process should be carried out in accordance with the regulations and follow the instructions.
